Food For Thought: THINK POLARITY.....

“Polarity, or action and reaction, we meet in every part of nature; in darkness and light; in heat and cold; in the ebb and flow of water; in male and female; in the equation of quantity and quality; in the fluids of the animal body; in the systole an” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"It is the stretched soul that makes music, and souls are stretched by the pull of opposites /opposite bents, tastes, yearnings, loyalties. Where there is no polarity /where energies flow smoothly in one direction /there will be much doing but no music.” –Eric Hoffer

"I like solitude. It is when you truly hear and speak your natural, unadulterated mind, and out comes your most stupid self as well as your most intelligent self. It is when you realize who you are and the extents of the good and the evils which you are capable of.” ― Criss Jami

“Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.”

“Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

Are You S.A.D.

(bear with me, the question mark on my laptop is on strike...)
Has winter got her grip on you. Longing for a warm sunny paradise. Feeling tired and moody. Perhaps what you're experiencing are symptoms of Seasonal affective disorder (also called SAD), a type of depression which is quite common this time of year.. many suffer these symptoms never realizing their true root cause (.. I wouldn't be surprised if a vast number of people are incorrectly diagnosed with a psychological disorder and put on a daily dose of venom from the big pharm prescribed by those doctors who have an attitude of indifference towards their patients [same thing probably happens in the cause of hormone fluctuations and changes in both men and women... but that's another story for a different day.) Many manufactures have profited from SAD, selling 'happy lights' and such, however, a quick fix maybe all which you need. Try picking up some low watt 'grow bulbs' from your local home improvement store. Typically you'll find them in 60watt bulbs. You can pick up grow bulbs which can replace just about every type of current lighting you have, even the long, tube type florescent. You'll discover that it's an economical alternative to those 'happy lights'. An additional benefit is being able to surround yourself with houseplants even in a home which gets little natural light. If you're getting spring fever try taking a nature walk to collect budding branches from a variety of trees and bushes. As each bud opens it's a little gift from God, a special little surprise.. each bud opening into a unique burst of bright spring-time green. (you might even get lucky and find some wild pussy willows which will root.. for you, giving you something wonderful to enjoy for years to come.) * If you have tips and tricks of your own that you would like to share on this blog please send via comment to me ( all comments are reviewed by me before approving for posting so if you would like your information posted but not your comment please let me know and I'll put into my own words before adding to a post.) Hope this tip brings Happy Thoughts and gets the ball rolling for your own creative solutions to savor the seasons!

Irish Blessings ...

Irish Blessings
May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun.
And find your shoulder to light on.
To bring you luck, happiness and riches.
Today, tomorrow and beyond.

May you enjoy the four greatest blessings:
Honest work to occupy you.
A hearty appetite to sustain you.
A good woman to love you.
And a wink from the God above.

Take Care & Smile Much...
